Marya Erashevich is a Vaganova ballet student and one of the key ballerinas featured in the early development of this ballet photography project. Her first ballet photo shoot ever took place in Rimini, Italy, in 2022, beginning with a powerful and playful beach shoot. With no prior experience in professional ballet photography, Marya approached the camera with openness, energy, and a natural sense of movement, resulting in expressive and dynamic images filled with spontaneity and joy. Known for her exceptionally high technical level, refined Vaganova training, long and clean ballet lines, and outstanding flexibility, Marya combines classical elegance with a strong creative mindset. Her physique, control, and precision allow for visually striking ballet photography that balances strength and refinement. Between 2022 and 2023, multiple further ballet photo shoots took place in Saint Petersburg, Russia, across several meetings. These sessions explored a wide range of artistic concepts and locations, resulting in an extensive and diverse ballet photography series.
