Ballerina Sofie Ryklova

Sofie Ryklova is a young ballerina from Prague, Czech Republic, with an interesting movement background that started in gymnastics before developing into classical ballet. This gives her ballet photography a special visual quality, combining flexibility, body control, strength, and a growing classical ballet style.

Sofie continued her ballet path in Prague, connected with the strong dance tradition of the Taneční konzervatoř hlavního města Prahy, also known as the Dance Conservatory of the City of Prague. She is now connected with the Accademia Teatro alla Scala Ballet School in Milan, also known in Italian as the Scuola di Ballo del Teatro alla Scala, giving her profile a strong international ballet direction.

In front of the camera, Sofie is very interesting because of her high flexibility and her ability to create unusual, elegant, and expressive ballet lines. Her gymnastics background helps her with open extensions, flexible back lines, high leg positions, dynamic shapes, and strong control, while her ballet training adds more softness, placement, port de bras, turnout, and classical structure.

Sofie has a fresh and photogenic presence, with a pretty face, clear expression, and a young but focused stage quality. Her images often work through a combination of flexibility, graceful arms, pointed feet, relevé, développé, attitude, arabesque-inspired poses, cambré, tendu lines, and lyrical upper body movement.

With Contourz Ballet Photography, Sofie took part in several varied photo shoots, including sessions in Prague, Alicante, Aspe, and Kranevo. These shootings show different sides of her as a dancer: classical city images, beach ballet photography, performance-related impressions, and outdoor dance portraits with strong atmosphere.

The Prague shoots created a beautiful connection between Sofie’s ballet lines and the historical character of the city. Locations such as Malostranské náměstí, Prague Castle, Střelecký ostrov, and the National Theatre area gave the images a clear Prague ballet identity, combining classical architecture, soft city light, and elegant dancer poses.

The Alicante and Aspe sessions added a warmer and more Mediterranean feeling. The beach shoot at Cala Cantalar created especially interesting results, with rock, sea, light, open space, and flexible ballet shapes. The Russian Masters Ballet show context in Aspe also added a performance connection, linking her photography with stage experience and intensive ballet training.

Sofie’s earlier Kranevo beach shoot added another outdoor layer to her Contourz series. The coastal atmosphere, natural light, and open beach setting worked well with her flexible movement quality and helped create soft, fresh, and youthful ballet images.

What makes Sofie Ryklova exciting for ballet photography is the mix of gymnastics-based flexibility and developing classical ballet elegance. Her lines can be open, dynamic, and visually surprising, but also soft, graceful, and refined. This gives her images a special balance between athletic movement and ballerina mood.

Sofie Ryklova adds a bright and interesting Prague presence to the Contourz Ballet Photography collection. With her gymnastics background, Prague ballet training, La Scala direction, high flexibility, photogenic face, and varied shootings in Prague, Alicante, Aspe, and Kranevo, she represents a young dancer with strong visual potential and very memorable ballet photography results.
